Born in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Maclaren earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.  From there, she traveled to the University of Illinois to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Purdue University in Indiana with additional training at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.  Dr. MacLaren currently resides in Park City, Utah and speaks around the country as well as Canada on ophthalmic disorders.  She enjoys skiing, hiking and traveling with her girls Sam and Cate.
